Vitamin K-2 is vital for bone formation and quality and maintaining vascular elasticity. It supports the metabolism of calcium in the body's vascular system and plays a biological role in the transport of calcium to bones and teeth, as well as the removal of calcium from joints and soft tissues.
Vitamin D-3 needs the presence of vitamin K-2. D-3 works synergistically with K-2 to reduce bone loss and protect blood vessels from calcification as calcium intake is beneficial for bones but can cause atherosclerosis.
