Otrisalin single-dose ampoules

Saline solution (ampoules) for cleaning and moisturizing the nose.

Otrisalin ampoules are recommended for:

The gentle cleaning of nasals sinuses when the nose is blocked, for example during a cold or in allergic conditions, by flushing out excess mucus or allergenic particles such as dust or pollen
Hydration of the nasal mucosa when it is dry or irritated, in cases of minor nasal irritations or due to low humidity (for example in heated / air-conditioned rooms, high altitude, air travel)
Thinning and moisturizing nasal secretions to help remove them.
Otrisalin ampoules are especially suitable for daily cleaning of babies' noses, which are not yet able to blow their noses:
Daily cleansing dilutes nasal mucus and helps remove excess nasal secretions, which can change the quality of life of infants (poor sleep, difficulty feeding). Helps babies breathe and feel better again.
In case of excess mucus, the use of Otrisalin nasal obstruction is recommended immediately after instillation of the solution. Concomitant use of Otrisalin nasal obstruction with saline solution facilitates the removal of mucus from the nose and thus helps reduce the risk of further complications such as otitis, sinusitis and / or cough. It also improves the sleep quality of infants during a cold episode.

Otrisalin ampoules are a sterile and preservative-free isotonic saline solution with 0,74% sodium chloride.
The salt concentration has been optimized to avoid nasal irritation.
The solution contains castor oil, which is known to have moisturizing and emollient properties.

Warnings:

Suitable for babies, children and adults. Seek medical advice before using it on an infant less than 2 weeks old. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use the product after the expiry date which is stated on the pack, and for opened vials no later than 12 hours after the initial opening of the vial.
Store at room temperature.
To be protected from heat.
Store the vials in the original package.

No special precautions are required when using the product, according to the recommendations.
Due to its cleansing properties, Otrisalin ampoules should be used first when using another topical nasal product (for example to treat colds or allergic rhinitis).
Otrisalin ampoules can be used during pregnancy and lactation.
This product is for external use only, not for injection.

The usual frequency of use is 2 to 4 times a day per nostril.

Wash your hands thoroughly before opening the vial.

Blow your nose, if necessary.
Separate a vial and remove the cap.
Tilt your head back and place the tip of the vial directly into your nostril.
Gently squeeze the vial to make a few drops, and harder if more thorough cleaning is required. Repeat in the other nostril.
Wait a few seconds and then blow your nose, if necessary.
If you want to use the remaining solution later, close the vial by pressing the cap on the neck of the vial. However, the contents of the vial should be used within 12 hours of initial opening.

For hygiene reasons and to avoid contamination, the vial should only be used by one person.
