Spring hair care: Hats, caps, cold, humidity, dry heating air, poor diet, hormonal changes and psychological stress - winter leaves but leaves the hair burdened and suffering. It's time to bring the hair out of hibernation.

We lose hair every day and it is completely normal. When we start to notice more than 100 hairs on our brush, we start talking about hair loss. This loss can appear to a greater extent not only in autumn, but also in spring. Then we refer to seasonal hair loss.

Read here some practical tips for spring hair care and dealing with seasonal hair loss.

A problem only for men?

No, hair loss is a very common issue in both men and women.
Males experience thinning hair and bald patches at the temples on both sides and at the back of the head.
Women notice that their hair becomes weaker, thinner and thinning.
The cause is often hormonal or hereditary. The lack vitamins or trace elements, but also external and environmental factors, can also lead to hair loss.

GOODLIFE TIP: When we start losing more than 100 hairs a day we should first check the levels of iron and ferritin in the blood. Low iron levels can lead to hair loss and thinning.

The "enemy" of hair: DHT or Dihydrotestosterone

DHT inhibits hair growth. In the case of hereditary hair loss, the roots of the hair are hypersensitive to this male hormone, which is also formed in the female body.

In addition to hormonal factors, which are largely responsible for hereditary hair loss, anxiety, stress, malnutrition and a weak immune system are responsible for seasonal hair loss.

  • Ginkgo biloba extract can increase the microcirculation in the capillaries and thus provide a better supply of nutrients and oxygen to the hair roots.
  • The vitamin B complex is a real universal vital substance for hair and in addition ensures a better energy balance of the entire body. Vitamin B5 and vitamin B3 neutralize fatigue and psychological imbalances.
