The dual pack provides 400 µg of folate at the exact level recommended by the UK Department of Health, incorporating the special, easily bioavailable form of L-Methylfolate. Supplemental intake of folic acid increases the amount of maternal folic acid *. Low maternal folate is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the developing fetus.

It contains other essential vitamins and minerals, including 10 µg of vitamin D as recommended by the UK Department of Health during pregnancy and breastfeeding and 500 mg of Calcium. The pack also contains a 300mg capsule of Omega-3 DHA for normal fetal brain and eye development**. Pregnacare Max tablets have been carefully designed by experts to protect nutritional requirements throughout pregnancy.
