The Pregnall contains 400μg of folic acid, which is necessary for the development of maternal tissues and the normal development of the fetus. Taking a daily supplement of 400μg of folic acid for at least one month before and up to three months after conception increases its levels in the pregnant woman, thereby avoiding low levels that are a risk factor for damage to the neural tube of the developing fetus. Folic acid also plays a role in cell division, contributes to normal hematopoiesis and the maintenance of normal homocysteine. Pregnall contains folic acid in the bio-available form L-Methyl folate, which is easily absorbed and used directly by the body.
